Amid the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, a digital mini-cookbook series was commissioned to highlight popular recipes from the Mexican Cookbook Collection, the largest of its kind in the nation.
I was tasked with designing the series titled "Recetas: Cocinando en los Tiempos del Coronavirus" (Recipes: Cooking in the Time of the Coronavirus), aimed at supporting home chefs during these uncertain times. Special Collections archivists and librarians meticulously curated a selection of recipes that met stringent standards of quality and authenticity, while also providing joy and comfort to cooking enthusiasts. The series presents these select recipes in a fun and engaging manner, tailored to meet the creative needs of home chefs seeking culinary inspiration.
The series quickly gained popularity, prompting the decision to produce a limited edition of printed copies to meet public demand. This collection is a valuable addition to any chef's repertoire, offering not only unique and flavorful recipes but also insights into their historical and cultural significance.
Each printed copy measures 5.5" × 8.5" and features vibrant 4-color digital printing, ensuring a visually appealing and accessible culinary resource for cooking enthusiasts of all levels.
